Display Content

Player Live Status

Indicates with green and red icon in dashboard. Green indicates player is online. Red indicates player is offiline (no internet connection or player is in off state)

Layouts

Supports Split Screens. User can split layout into 4 regions and add media contents in all the four regions. Note: Video content restricted to one region.


Scheduling

You can set up and manage the display content based on a calendar and time-based schedule. Content schedules can be displayed on a time-line basis.

Reports

IT helps to cross check or create reports about the contents played. Reports can be generated in simple or extended or in both formats for each player.

Offline Mode

All the scheduled Media content downloaded at the player will play back even when the device looses internet connection.

4) How to upload files to the library?

Select “Library” in the main menu ---> Click “Upload Media” ---> Select “Image/Videos” ---> Click “Add Files” in the “upload media” pop-up window ---> Select files to be upload ed and click “upload” ---> Wait for the files to be uploaded in the server. Once it shows 100% status in all files, click “Done”.

5) How to add a website’s content to the display?

Select “Library” in the main menu ---> Click “New Web URL” ---> furnish the required details(For eg: Website URL- http://ibnlive.in.com/livetv/ ) ---> Click “Save/Update”.

6) Why should I create a new channel?

A Channel is a cluster of schedules, to manage the contents that are to be played. A user can create and manage media schedules and ticker schedules through the channel. To create a new schedule, you have to create a new channel first.

7) How to create a new channel?

Click “Channel” in main menu ---> Click “New Channel” ---> Enter the following details in the pop-up window. a) Channel Name : Enter the name of the channel b) Layout Orientation : Select Landscape or Portrait c) Layout Resolution : Select Screen Resolution (1080p, 720p etc…) d) Channel Description : Type the description of the channel e) Click “Save/update”

8) How to create a new media schedule?

Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click “Media Schedule” ---> Click “New Schedule” ---> Enter the following details in the pop-up window. a) Schedule Name : Enter the schedule name b) Start and End Time : Specify the start date and end date c) Loop the Content : Check the tick box if you want to run the file repeatedly till the time specified d) Recursive Display : Check the tick box if you want to play the content on regular intervals(once you click on the tick box, you have to fill in the details of the interval in which the content should be played and until which date it should play) e) Click “save/update”. It will lead you to the “layout design” window.

9) How to add, delete and resize a region in the display?

To add a new region: Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click ”Goto Layout Page” on the appropriate schedule ---> Click “New Region” in menu bar. To delete a region: Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click “Goto Layout Page” on the appropriate schedule ---> Click “Delete region icon” in the appropriate region ---> Click “Delete”. To resize a region: Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click “Goto Layout Page” on the appropriate schedule ---> Click “Resize region icon” in the appropriate region and enter the size in pixels or Drag the arrow in right bottom of the region to resize the region.

10) How to add, view and delete a media in a region?

To add a media in the region: Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click “Goto Layout Page” on the appropriate schedule ---> Click “add media to playlist icon” in the appropriate region ---> select the type of media to be added ---> select the media by clicking on the tick icon ---> click “add selected media”. To view media playlist of a region: Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click “Goto Layout Page” on the appropriate schedule ---> Click “Region playlist icon” in the appropriate region you can also edit the media from playlist using the action column in the window and remove by selecting the media and click “Remove”. To delete a Region: Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click “Goto Layout Page” on the appropriate schedule ---> Click “Delete Region icon” in the appropriate region ---> Click ”Delete”.

11) How to create a new ticker schedule?

Click ”Channel” in main menu ---> Click “ Goto Schedule List” on the appropriate channel ---> Click “Ticker Schedule” --->Click “New Ticker” Enter the following details in the pop-up window. a) Ticker Name : Enter the ticker name b) Ticker Type : Select “static text or dynamic text(RSS)” from the drop down list - If “static text” is selected then enter the text to be displayed in the text box provided with the label “Ticker Text” - If “Dynamic text(RSS)” is selected then select the feed type and the source from the respective drop down boxes.(for ex: if feed type is selected as “World news” then select the source as “BBC news”) of feeds to be displayed-Choose the background colour and text colour -Now choose the number c) Start date and end date: Specify the starting and ending time of the ticker to be played d) Click on “Save” to store your scheduled content

12) How to create a group?

Every player will be part of a group. A group is used to classify and identify a player easily. It also enables to schedule the contents easily. To create a Group: Click “Player” in main menu ---> Click ”New Group” ---> Enter the group name and the group description in the “add group” pop-up window ---> Click “Save&Update”.

13) How to change a player’s name, orientation, channel, group and time zone?

Click “Player” in main menu ---> Click “Edit player icon” in the action column of the appropriate player ---> Change the required details and Click “Save/Update”.

14) How to change schedule, live status and report updating time?

Click “Player” in main menu ---> Click “Edit player icon” in the action column of the appropriate player ---> Change the required details and Click “Save/Update”

15) How to increase/decrease the volume level of the player?

Click “Player” in main menu ---> Click “Edit player icon” in the action column of the appropriate player ---> use volume adjustment option ---> Click “Save/Update”

16) How to change the storage setting of the player?
